The thirteenth British Wool Sale of the 2008/09 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,083,255 kilos. The first sale of 2009 saw mixed demand with strong interest in finer wools, coarser types less well sought after. The total clearance was 1.25 million kilos. Compared to the last time sold. Pick and Supers upto 2% dearer Halfbred Hogs 2.5% dearer, other Halfbreds Buyers Favour Cross Hogs upto 5% dearer, other Crosses Buyers Favour Cheviot Hogs Fully Firm, Wethers 3.5% cheaper Fine Radnors Fully Firm, other Radnors Buyers Favour Red Kempy Welsh Fully Firm, Cast upto 3% cheaper Blackface upto 5% cheaper
