The Tenth British Wool Sale of the 2010/11 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,508,421 kilos. There was keen demand across the range of types on offer with most prices moving upwards once again, with a 96% clearance. Compared to the last time sold: Pick and Super Wethers and Cast 5 - 6% dearer, Hogs 2.5% dearer Halfbred Hogs 5-6% dearer, Wethers 2.5-5% dearer Cross Hogs 3-5% dearer, other Crosses 2% dearer Cheviots 7-9% dearer Fine and Medium Radnors up to 2% dearer, Light Greys Buyers Favour Welsh Firm except Cast which were 1.5% cheaper Swaledale 1.5-4.5% dearer Blackface Carpet White and Short Fine 6-7.5% dearer, Light Grey 2.5% dearer, others Firm
