Wool Sale Report for BW82 held on
23rd February 2011

The sixteenth British Wool Sale of the 2010/11 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing board at Wool House and offered 1,663,580 kilos. A very strong sale from the outset with most types seeing good price gains resulted in virtually a full clearance. Compared to the last time sold: Pick and Supers 3-8% dearer Halfbred Hogs 3-5.5% dearer, Wethers 2.5-3.5% dearer Cross Cotts and Wethers 3-4.5% dearer, Hogs 2-3% dearer Cheviot Wethers and Cast 4-7.5% dearer, Hogs 2% dearer Radnors 5-7% dearer Welsh Fully Firm Swaledale 2.5-4.5% dearer Blackface Fully Firm Please Note: The next rostered sale - BW83 on 9th March 2011 is cancelled. Therefore, the next sale of British Wool will be BW84 on 23rd March 2011.
