Wool Sale Report for BW84 held on

The seventeenth British Wool Sale of the 2010/11 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,773,080 kilos. The sale was exceptional with very strong and at times extreme bidding. There was a 100% clearance with prices soaring to even higher levels. Compared to the last time sold: Pick and Supers 15% dearer Halfbreds 10-17% dearer Cross Cotts and Wethers 21% dearer, Hogs 15-17% dearer Cheviots 12-18% dearer Radnors 24-27% dearer Welsh 23-35% dearer Swaledale 30-40% dearer Blackface 10-25% dearer Naturally Coloured Wools including Herdwick were up to 35% dearer
