Sales Report Archive
The first British Wool Sale of the 2013/14 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,762,049 kgs. The sale started strongly with prices advancing throughout. The full range of available wool on offer (including 400,000 kgs of 2012 clip wool) all sold. This only leaves 70,000 kgs of 2012 clip wool which will be rostered in the next sale. A small proportion of the forward not available wool (five lots) on offer sold. Compared to the last time sold Fine Hogs 13% dearer, other Fine types 5% dearer Halfbreds 10-15% dearer Mules 20 - 30% dearer Radnors 15 - 25% dearer Welsh 14% dearer Swaledale 30% dearer (Forward not available only) Old Seasons Wool Blackface 20 -30% dearer
