Wool Sale Report for BW55 held on
27th November 2013

The ninth British Wool Sale of the 2013/14 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,698,055 kgs. There was still a good level of demand at the sale, albeit with prices easing. Nevertheless, over 1.5 million kgs of wool was sold. Compared to the last time sold Fine Wools 5% cheaper Halfbreds 4-5% cheaper Mule Hogs Firm - 5% cheaper, other Mule types 3-5% cheaper Cheviot Firm except Wethers which were 4% cheaper Radnors 5% cheaper Welsh 6% cheaper Swaledale 6% cheaper Blackface Carpet White Fully Firm, other Blackface up to 4% cheaper
