Wool Sale Report for BW61 held on
1st April 2014

The fifteenth British Wool Sale of the 2013/14 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,705,327 kgs. The sale opened strongly with good demand on all types producing a clearance of 96%. Compared to the last time sold: Fine Types: Up to 8% dearer. Halfbreds: Discoloured 5% dearer, all others fully firm. Mules: Hogs 3-5% dearer, all others fully further. Cheviots: 2-7% dearer. Radnors: 2.5% cheaper. Welsh: Up to 4% dearer. Swaledale: 3.5% cheaper. Blackface: Up to 3% dearer except short fine which were 3% cheaper.
