Wool Sale Report for BW5 held on
22nd September 2015

The fifth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,227,478 kgs. Today's sale followed the trend from BW4 with a very good level of interest and all buyers were more active. This resulted in an 80% clearance of the large offering. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - No.2 Ewes 6% dearer, No.1 Hogs firm, others 3% cheaper. Medium types - No.1 Hogs fully firm, other Medium Types 3-5% cheaper. Mule types - No.2 Ewes 4% dearer, other Mules generally 1.5-4% cheaper. Cheviot types - Hogs firm, others 4% cheaper. Radnor types - fine types fully firm, others up to 4.5% cheaper. Welsh types - Coloured Kempy fully firm, others 5% cheaper. Blackface types - firm.
