Wool Sale Report for BW11 held on
12th January 2016

The eleventh sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,952,682 kgs. With a broad range of types on offer the demand was particularly strong on finer combing style wools. The clearance was 93%. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - Hogs 3-7% dearer, Ewes fully firm. Medium types - 3-5% dearer. Romney types - 1.5% dearer. Mule types - fully firm. Cheviot types - Hogs & Discoloured 2.5% dearer, Ewes fully firm. Radnor types - firm. Welsh types - fully firm. Swaledale types - light greys fully firm, others 2-3% cheaper. Blackface types - 2-3.5% cheaper.
