Wool Sale Report for BW13 held on
16th February 2016

The thirteenth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,960,725 kgs. A mixed market at today's sale. Nevertheless, 92% of the wool on offer was sold. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - No.1's firm, others 2% cheaper. Medium types - No.1 Hogs firm, others up to 4% cheaper. Mule types - 2.5-5% cheaper. Cheviot types - Hogs 3% dearer, others firm. Radnor types - 3-4% cheaper. Welsh types - Fully firm, except coloured kempy which were 5% cheaper. Swaledale types - Fully firm. Blackface types - 5% cheaper.
