Wool Sale Report for BW14 held on
1st March 2016

The fourteenth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,651,199 kgs. A good strong sale with all types in demand produced a 98% clearance with increased prices. Compared to last time sold: Fine types: 4-7% dearer. Medium types: Hogs up to 2% dearer, others 5-9% dearer. Romney types: 3.5% dearer. Mule types: Hogs fully firm, others 5-10% dearer. Cheviot types: Hogs 1.5% dearer, others 4-8% dearer. Radnor types: 5-10% dearer. Welsh types: 6% dearer. Swaledale types: 3-5% dearer. Blackface types: 2-4% dearer.
