Wool Sale Report for BW15 held on
15th March 2016

The fifteenth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,591,567 kgs. The market was strong today and as we are approaching the latter end of the selling season certain types are in limited supply, this contributed to an increase in prices and a 100% clearance. Compared to last time sold: Fine types: Hogs up to 5% dearer, others fully firm. Medium types: 2.5% dearer. Romney types: 2% dearer. Mule types: Cotts 7-10% dearer, Ewes 3-5% dearer, Hogs 2.5% dearer. Cheviot types: 4-7% dearer. Radnor types: 5% dearer. Welsh types: Up to 10% dearer. Swaledale types: 2-4% dearer. Blackface types: 5-10% dearer.
