Wool Sale Report for BW22 held on
6th September 2016

The fourth sale of the 2016/17 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,017,351 kgs. With widespread competition, there was good demand across the full range on offer. This resulted in a clearance of 89%. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - No1's fully firm, discoloureds up to 4% cheaper. Medium types - Up to 3% dearer except discoloureds up to 3% cheaper. Mule types - Cotts firm, others 2-3% dearer. Cheviot types - 2% dearer. Radnor types - Firm. Welsh types - Fully firm. Blackface types - A small offering sold well in sellers favour.
