Wool Sale Report for BW25 held on
18th October 2016

The seventh sale of the 2016/17 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,998,667 kgs. Traditional scouring type wools were well sought after, whilst finer combing types saw more selective bidding. The clearance was 80%. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - No1's fully firm, No2's up to 5% cheaper. Medium types - 2-3% cheaper. Romney types - No1's firm. Mule types - 2-3% dearer. Cheviot types - Fully firm.. Radnor types - Fully firm. Welsh types - Up to 7% dearer. Swaledale types - 2% dearer. Blackface types - 3-4% dearer.
