The fifth sale of the 2017/18 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,899,370 kgs. The sale started slowly, but gathered momentum resulting in a 79% clearance. Fine types: 4% dearer. Medium types: Discoloured 2% dearer, no. 1's firm, no. 2's 2.5% cheaper. Romney types: Fully firm. Mule types: 2-3% dearer. Cheviot types: no. 2's Fully firm, no. 1's 2% cheaper. Radnor types: Up to 2% dearer. Welsh types: No. 1's 2.5% dearer, others firm. Swaledale types: Grey 4.5% dearer, others fully firm. Blackface types: No. 1's 2% dearer, others fully firm.
