Wool Sale Report for BW45 held on

The ninth sale of the 2017/2018 Season was held by British Wool at Wool House and offered 2,003,267 kgs. A stronger sale than of late with good competition. The carpet types sold well whilst many of the combing types saw renewed demand. The clearance was 78%. Fine types: Buyers favour. Medium types: No.2 Ewes 3% dearer, No.1 Hogs firm, others 2-4% cheaper. Mule types: Generally 3-6% dearer. Cheviot types: Firm. Radnor types: Fully firm. Welsh types: No.2 3% dearer, Coloured kempy up to 4% cheaper. Swaledale types: Firm. Blackface types: Fully firm.
