Wool Sale Report for BW43 held on
11th May 2005

The eighth Scottish sale of the 2004/05 season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2.46 kilos of British Wool. The final Scottish sale of the season saw well spread demand with a clearance of 78% of current season's wool. Compared to the last Sale (Bradford - BW42 - 27th April 2005):- Halfbreds up to 2.5% cheaper. Crosses Buyers favour except best Wethers which were 2.5% cheaper. Compared to the last Scottish Sale - BW40 - 23rd March 2005:- Best Cheviots up to 5% dearer, other 2-4% cheaper. Blackface fully firm. Irish Grades:- Halfbreds 2-4% cheaper. Crosses Buyers favour. Blackface firm.
