Wool Sale Report for BW58 held on
25th January 2006

The ninth Bradford sale of the 2005/06 season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2.7 million kilos of British Wool. The market was much stronger than of late with keen competition across the whole range of types on offer. This resulted in a clearance of over 80%. Compared to the last Bradford Sale - BW56 - 14th December 2005:- Pick & Supers fully firm. Halfbreds 2-4% dearer. Crosses 2-3.5% dearer. Fine Radnor Cross Cast fully 5% dearer, other Radnors fully firm. Selected Welsh 2% dearer, other Welsh firm. A large offering of Swaledale (200,000kgs) sold well with prices advancing in Sellers Favour.
