Wool Sale Report for BW12 held on
26th January 2016

The twelfth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,902,937 kgs. A good level of demand on most types at today's sale saw Fine and Crossbred wools increase in value whilst some carpet types were slightly cheaper. The clearance was 89%. Compared to last time sold: Fine types - 2.5-5% dearer. Medium types - Up to 2.5% dearer. Romney types - Firm. Mule types - Up to 2.5% dearer. Cheviot types - Discoloured 2.5% dearer, others fully firm. Radnor types - Fully firm. Welsh types - Fully firm. Swaledale types - 2.5% cheaper. Blackface types - 1-2% cheaper.
