The ninth sale of the 2016/17 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,066,471 kgs. Following a strong sale of 2 weeks ago, the market today was quieter with prices generally cheaper. The clearance was 67%. Compared to last time sold: Fine types: 3.5% cheaper. Medium types: No.1 Ewes 2.5% dearer, all other Medium types 2.5% cheaper. Romney types: 2.5% cheaper. Mule types: Hogs up to 3.5 Dearer, No.1 Ewes firm, others up to 5% cheaper. Cheviot types: 2.5 to 3.5% cheaper. Radnor types: Mediums firm, others 5% cheaper. Welsh types: 4 to 5% cheaper. Swaledale types: Firm. Blackface types: 2.5 to 5.5% cheaper.
