Wool Sale Report for BW4 held on
1st September 2015


The fourth sale of the 2015/16 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,266,702 kgs. There was a good level of interest at today's sale, this saw 1.5 million kgs sold (67%). Compared to last time sold: Fine types - Fine No.2 sellers favour, others generally 5% cheaper. Medium types - 2-6% cheaper. Romney types - fully firm. Mule types - Hogs fully firm, others 3-5% cheaper. Cheviot types - No.2's firm, others 3% cheaper. Radnor types - Light grey fully firm, others 5% cheaper. Welsh types - 5-7% cheaper. Swaledale types - 5% cheaper. Blackface types - No.1 grades 5% dearer, others buyers favour.
