The fourteenth sale of the 2016/17 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 2,281,263 kgs. A large offering comprising a wider selection of grade produced strong competition resulting in prices increasing. There was a 98% clearance. Compared to last time sold: Fine types: 7-15% dearer. Medium types: 6-12% dearer. Mule types: Hogs 5-11% dearer, Ewes & Cotts 3.5-7.5% dearer. Cheviot types: 3-6% dearer. Radnor types: Fully firm. Welsh types: 4-7% dearer. Swaledale types: 6-9% dearer. Blackface types: 2-4% dearer.
