Chief Executive Officer - Ian Hartley An economics graduate and Chartered Accountant, with a background in the textile industry, he first joined the BWMB in 1986, originally through its wool trading subsidiary. He was appointed Deputy Managing Director in 1991, becoming Managing Director in 1995 and is actively involved in all aspects of the Board's operation.

Chief Operating Officer - Mark Powell Having worked exclusively for the BWMB, throughout his working life, starting as an apprentice grader, he was appointed Wool Marketing Manager in 2000 with overall responsibility for the sales of British Wool. Since that time, the entire selling system has been developed and computerised. He was appointed Chief Wool Marketing Officer on 1st April 2008. Mark has now taken on full responsibility for the Payments & Registration Department, IT & Communications Department and Producer PR Department and to reflect this has been made Chief Operating Officer from November 2012.

Chief Financial Officer - Angela Marshall-Williams In February 1999 joined BWMB in the Payment and Registration Department. In 2000 moved to the Operations/Finance team, gaining extensive knowledge and experience of the Board’s subsidiary company WGGB Ltd financial procedures and depot operations. After qualifying as an AAT Accountant in 2007, was appointed as Group Financial Controller, where in addition to WGGB Ltd, became more actively involved in the BWMB financial accounting. Appointed Chief Financial Officer 1 May 2012, Angela is responsible for all aspects of BWMB and Group Finance and is still actively involved with the depot operations. | | |

Group HR Manager - Sandra Dennison A HR Professional and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development she joined the BWMB in February 2003 and became Group HR Manager in July 2007. Has Group responsibility for Human Resources, Pension Administration, Insurance and Health & Safety. | | |

Wool Marketing Manager - Stephen Spencer Having begun his working life as an apprentice grader in Bradford in 1984, he moved to Wool Marketing in 1999 to train as an auctioneer. He now assists the Chief Operating Officer with the British Wool sales system in addition to having responsibilities for some depots and producer liaison.

Marketing Manager - Tim Booth Joined the BWMB in December 2003, to work closely with its licensed manufacturers in both the UK and the USA.
He was previously employed in the textile industry, testing and inspecting wool, and other fibres, from all parts of the world and in this capacity, was actively involved in establishing an objective measurement system for the UK clip, prior to auction.

Producer Communications Manager - Gareth Jones Appointed in December 2008, he has responsibility for developing and maintaining the Board's producer relations and communications, as well as working closely with farming unions and other agricultural bodies. Formerly County Executive Officer for the Farmer's Union of Wales, Gareth has many links with the Welsh farming community and key stakeholder groups. A former employee of British Wool for 14 years at the Denbigh depot - he has extensive knowledge of the depot function, the Board's role and the key issues affecting wool producers. | | |

Shearing Manager - Colin MacGregor A wool producer, farming in Perthshire and an experienced professional shearer and former Scottish Shearing Champion. He has worked for many years as a Wool Board shearing instructor, becoming Scottish Regional Instructor and Senior Shearing Instructor before being appointed Shearing Manager, in 1999, to develop the Wool Board's shearing training programme. | | |
