British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 30,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.
At British Wool Launceston we are looking to recruit a Temporary Warehouse Operative; the role is to provide assistance to the warehouse processes during our peak season. The successful applicants will be working within a fast-paced warehouse environment therefore the duties of the role can be physically arduous

Key Responsibilities
- Unloading of wool sheets from HGV’S
- Weighing of sheets/skeps using had held scanner to record data upon receipt into the warehouse
- Prepare wool sheets to be transported to grading points
- Transferring wool to various processes within the warehouse via skeps

Ideally you will
- Be self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic team player
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Be able to implement instruction/training provided
Working schedule: Zero Hour Contract – 39 hours per week, working hours are between 8.00am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 15.30pm Friday.
