Newly Elected Board Member for British Wool’s English Central Region
Kate Drury, whose family have farmed in the Welland Valley for three generations, has been elected as British Wool’s English Central regional Board Member for a three-year term, beginning on 1 April.
Kate has represented producers from Northamptonshire and been chair for the past six years on the English Central Regional Committee. She is currently furthering her academic qualifications studying via distance learning an MSc in Sustainable Food and Agricultural Policy, at the Royal Agricultural University, awarding her the opportunity to study and apply change at the same time.
On notification of the election results, Kate said “I am delighted to have been elected Board Member for the English Central Region and can’t thank those enough who put their faith in me; I will not forget their comments and support. I look forward to carrying on the engagement and communication, working on the board to benefit British wool producers.”
Kate is very keen to ensure that British wool is seen as a viable option, to find solutions to present day problems through innovation.Back to Press Releases
