Wool Sale Report for BW37 held on
4th July 2017

The first sale of the 2017/2018 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,454,263 kgs. There was good competition at today's sale with the better style and colour wools generally holding firm. The clearance was 81%. Fine types: Hogs 1% dearer, No.2 ewes 5% cheaper. Medium types: No.1's fully firm, No.2 & natural discoloured 3.5-5% cheaper. Mule types: Hogs firm, others 2.5-3% cheaper. Radnor types: Light Grey firm, No.2's up to 4% cheaper. Welsh types: Fully firm. Blackface types: Up to 5% dearer.
