Wool Sale Report for BW43 held on
17th October 2017

The seventh sale of the 2017/18 Season was held by British Wool at Wool House and offered 1,897,798 kgs. The Market was once again dominated by carpet type wools, which again sold well. There was renewed interest in some of the Hog grades. The clearance was 71%. Fine types: Fully firm. Medium types: No.2 Ewes 2% dearer, No.1 Ewes 3% cheaper, others fully firm. Mule types: Fully firm except Hogs which were 2-4% cheaper. Cheviot types: Firm. Radnor types: Upto 2% dearer. Welsh types: No.1's fully firm, others Buyers favour. Swaledale types: 2-4% dearer. Blackface types: Buyers favour.
