Information for consumers about British Wool Products

Chairman's Welcome to Graze - September

Welcome to the September issue of Graze. Yet again the weather is at the forefront of our minds and although in some areas there has been a little rain the lack of grass is now a major concern with many of you already opening winter forage to feed your stock.

The breeding sales season has begun, with good quality Gimmers and Ewe Lambs already receiving a premium which is so vital to the industry, be it a seller who sees the fruition of all their work or a buyer looking to the future introducing new bloodlines into the flock.

Within this latest issue of Graze, read about the work of the Wool Testing Authority and how this vital process adds value to your wool.

We also review our shows activity over the summer - it’s been great to meet so many of our members but also further develop links with industry partners to ensure the British Wool message is heard.

There’s also an opportunity to read about our continuing work on creating new demand though our consumer marketing activity launching three new British wool carpet ranges.
