Experienced shearer has the World record in his sights Experienced shearer has the World record in his sights 2 August 2023 An experienced shearer will be making a record-breaking attempt to shear more than 754 lambs in eight hours later this week. Steve Rowberry, who is 34 year’s old was born and raised in Herefordshire and has been shearing since he was 20. Steve is now running his own farm based in Chapel Lawn in Shropshire. Read

Helping world champions get a good night’s sleep! 1 August 2023 The team took top honours in the Golden Shears World Shearing & Woolhandling Championships at the Royal Highland Show on 25th June. Gwion Lloyd Evans (machine individual and team winner), Richard Jones (machine team winner), Ffion Jones and Sarah-Jane Rees (woolhandling team winners) were presented with framed certificates and a special goody bag. The bag included a duvet and pillow set kindly donated by British Wool’s premium bedding licensee Woolroom. Read

British Wool hosts Brintons UK sales conference British Wool hosts Brintons UK sales conference 7 June 2023 Our Head Office in Bradford recently played host to Brintons' UK sales conference. The conference offered Brintons UK sales team a unique opportunity to explore the beginning stages of the wool production in and around Yorkshire, from the farm to the grading of the wool and also the scouring processes before being transformed into their carpet yarn.
