British wool in the home: showcasing wool as a sustainable and eco-friendly choice for home renovators

British Wool exhibited at the Homebuilding and Renovation show at the NEC in Birmingham last week, showcasing a diverse range of wool products including building insulation, underlay, carpets, bedding and mattresses. It was an extremely busy show with over 25,000 visitors across the 4 days which is a 9% increase on the previous year. The show targets a variety of consumers from those considering a future renovation, those in the midst of one, as well as consumers looking to improve the efficiency of their existing home. 79% of visitors were actually working on live projects.

Shows such as this are a great way to educate consumers about the benefits of British wool rich products as well as explaining that by purchasing such products, consumers are helping to support British sheep farmers.

British Wool’s Business Development Manager, Haldi Kranich-Wood, took to the Masterclass stage presenting an introduction to British Wool as well as highlighting the numerous benefits of using British wool rich products in the home.

As the summer season approaches, our next few consumer shows will be agricultural shows where we will be not only highlighting British wool in the home but also clothing and country wear.
