Newly Elected Board Member for English Southern Region

Penny Chantler from Hill Farm, Hay-on-Wye in Herefordshire has been elected as British Wool’s English Southern regional Board Member for a three-year term, beginning on 1 April. 

Penny farms 1,500 NZ Romneys and has a strong understanding of the Textile Industry which will be a great benefit to the Southern region at Board level. Education is another area of knowledge Penny brings to the Board having being an Ambassador for the NFU Schools Program educating the public on environmental and sustainable properties of wool.

On notification of the election results, Penny said: “I am delighted to be elected to represent the English Southern members and thank everyone who voted for their support. I look forward to using my knowledge and experience in providing sheep farmers with a strong voice and representation on the Board of British Wool.”
