Election Update - English Southern Region
Following British Wool’s call for nominations for Members of the Board in the Scottish Southern, Welsh Northern and English Southern Regions, an election will be held in one region.
Jim Robertson, Scottish Southern region and Huw Evans, Welsh Northern region have both been returned unopposed.
The names of the candidates nominated for the election taking place in the English Southern region are as follows:
English Southern Region
BLANDEN, BOB
Upper Stonehill House, Charlton, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, SN16 9DX
CHANTLER, PENNY
Hill Farm, Llanigon, Hay-on-wye, Hereford, HR3 5RH
Voting
Voting papers will be sent to all registered British Wool members in the above region on Thursday 19th January 2023, and must be returned to the Independent Returning Officer by 6pm on Thursday 16th February 2023.
For the purposes of the election, the geographical counties remain the same as they were before the Local Government Act 1972.
The term of office for each Board Member is three years, commencing 1 April 2023.
